Safety Rules

Club rules apply to everyone at Latitude

  • Children under 110 cms must be watched by an adult at all times
  • Children under the age of 13 must be supervised by an adult at all times
  • All participants must wear an appropriate coloured wristband to participate
  • Latitude grip socks must be worn on the trampolines at all times
  • Do not attempt any activity above your skill level
  • For safety reasons, pregnant women, guests with pre-existing health conditions or guests wearing a cast are not permitted to use the equipment.
  • Please remove sharp objects from your pockets (lockers provided).
  • No food, drink, or gum to be consumed on the activity floor
  • The safety of your personal belongings is your own responsibility. Latitude assumes no responsibility or liability for property that is lost or stolen. Any items left unattended will be placed in lost & found and will be disposed of in 30 days if not collected.
  • Latitude reserves the right to refuse entry or eject any person from the premises at any time
  • No one is allowed on the premises while under the influence of drugs or alcohol!

 

KIDS ZONE RULES

  • Children must be UNDER 110cm and less than 5 years old to access the Kids Zone.

 

ACTIVITY FLOOR RULES

  • Children must be at least 110cm and over 5 years to access the main activity floor.

Free jump rules

  • Only one person on each trampoline
  • Do not affect another jumper’s bounce in any way
  • No rough play or running
  • Do not stand on the free jump wall
  • Do not climb the coloured padding

 

Dodgeball rules

  • Max 8 players per team
  • Each team begins the game with an even amount of balls
  • You are out if you are hit, your ball is caught, or you cross the center line
  • Deflect live balls using a ball in your hands
  • No shots to the head or any un-sportsman like conduct
  • Do not kick the dodgeballs
  • No flips in the dodgeball area
  • Do not affect another person’s bounce
  • Always land on two feet with flexed knees

 

Basketball rules

  • Only one person at a time on each lane
  • No hanging from the rim or backboard
  • Always land on two feet, with flexed knees
  • Do not land on the pads or jump between lanes

 

Air bag rules

  • No diving onto the air bag – no landing head first or on your belly
  • No double flips or back flips
  • Always land on your back or your bottom
  • Never attempt skills beyond your ability

 

Performance trampolines rules

  • Jumpers must be at least 125 cms tall
  • The performance area is for experienced jumpers only
  • Only one person on each trampoline at a time
  • Never attempt any skills beyond your ability
  • Always stop your bounce with flexed knees
  • Never stop by landing on padding, this can cause injury
  • No bouncing from trampoline to trampoline
  • No climbing or pulling yourself up the wall

 

Obstacle course rules

  • You must be wearing closed toe shoes to climb the obstacle course
  • A harness must be worn and correctly fitted at all times
  • Don’t touch the carabiners once attached
  • Always climb on the equipment appropriately and in a controlled manner
  • Do not deliberately slide along the obstacle course
  • Harnesses are to be returned to latitude crew at the end of the activity

 

Rock climbing rules

General

  • You must be inducted by crew before entering the climbing area.
  • Children under 13 years are to be under constant supervision by an adult.
  • You must be wearing closed toes shoes to climb.

Harness & attaching to equipment

  • Harnesses must be worn and checked by a crew member before using any activity
  • There must be 2 locking carabiners attached to the harness at all times
  • Climbers must attach the gold carabiner to their harness before they detach the black

Carabiners from the wall

  • After climbing the black carabiners must be attached to the wall before releasing the gold carabiner from the harness
  • Harnesses are to be returned to latitude crew at the end of the activity

Climbing

  • Ensure you are using the correct auto belay for the activity
  • The first time you climb, practice your descent (approx. 2m) to ensure you are comfortable
  • Don’t pull on the auto belay before you let go
  • Do not pull down on the tether at anytime
  • Make sure the area below is clear before you descend
  • Descend in a controlled manner

  

Tumble Mat Rules

  • Only one person at a time on each activity.
  • No running across the mat.
  • No spotting allowed.
  • Never attempt skills beyond your ability.

 

The Grid rules

  • You must be at least 125cm tall.
  • You must be wearing closed toe shoes to take part.
  • Only one person at a time on each activity.
  • Always give others space to complete the activity.
  • Never attempt skills beyond your ability.
